Came in on a Tuesday and to my surprise they were having a beer pong contest, it wasn't too crowded but Friday through Saturday the place gets really packed. $5 entrance if I'm not mistaken over the weekend, great variety of craft beer and whiskey 10/10 would recommend if you don't want to go to downtown and have a chill night.

I love u31 so much! especially on saloon Sundays, it’s always such a great time and the bartenders are so lovely. I always have such a wonderful time here I would recommend it to anybody visiting

Fun light style club with super hip/pop music. Few bar tables but omg the dj playing tonight was mixing allll the songs together it was so fun!

great bartenders during the week...kasandra and tadas are very experienced and have a fun following...big bar with pool tables, darts, corn hole, karaoke, and trashy trivia...good pla e to stop by for a few drinks...

Corrine the bartender was so nice and friendly! Bryan that works the Chicken and Waffles was also friendly! The food is amazing! We feasted while watching post season baseball. I can’t wait to go back!

Huge shoutout to James behind the bar. He’s the kind of bartender every spot wishes they had. Fast, friendly, and knows how to pour a drink with precision and personality. If you’re lucky enough to catch him, ask for his take on the Classic Margarita—it’s a smooth blend with the perfect Tajín rim. The DJ lineup was solid—mixing everything from throwbacks to reggaeton to club bangers. The crowd? Chill, stylish, and here to dance. The lighting and visuals gave it a real underground-meets-lounge aesthetic. Drinks menu is creative without trying too hard—favorites were the Strawberry Mule and Prickly Pear Mule. Prices are fair, service is quick, and the bartenders actually seem to enjoy being there (rare in the nightlife scene). If you’re in San Diego and don’t pull up to U31 at least once, you’re missing out. North Park nightlife wouldn’t be the same without it. Pro tip: Get there before 10:30 to avoid the line, and if James is working, tell him Danny sent you. (All staff members are friendly and professional).

Saloon Sundays is the best for country line dancing. If you like to get down, then get down here! Plenty of floor space and the music never stops. They have a few lessons each time as well. Wish it was every Sunday. Twice a month just isn't enough.
